Use free pallets you find by trolling alleys. No slats needed. No sanding or dismantling. Just make sure you cover the whole platform with an old blanket, tarp or something before adding your box springs or just the mattress. It won't bounce or slide, can be one, two or three pallets tall. Can't beat free. Best wishes 😇

Thanks ! I LOVE the pallet idea. I did want to try to give it some legs or lift for possible storage but that's not a deal breaker for sure!
