Hello Donna; Put away any small appliances that you do not use, or any clutter which is on your counters.
Use the top of your Ref for storage.
Go through all cabinets and donate anything that you do not use.
Some people use their oven for storage.
(I store all of my heavy cookware, in mine)
I use bake constantly, but it is a pain to remove items when you are going to cook in it!
Make as much good use of your storage space as possible. You can add shelves to your closet, and use it for storage.
Also, you can purchase heavy duty shelving units at Home Depot, and use these in another space inside of your home, for say canned goods, bulky items, pots, Etc.
I hope that these ideas help you!!!! Take Care!
Sunny has wonderful suggestions. I'd also paint the walls Oyster Pearl and the cabinets (inside & out) semi gloss Bright White. Hang a mirror on the wall to reflect light. You might consider removing the upper cabinet doors and organize the contents with only those items you need on a daily basis. Whatever you do, it will be awesome. Best of luck.
Can you post a picture so we have a better idea of how to answer you?
Find ways to organize and use unlikely spaces, like pot lid holders on the hanging on the inside of cabinet doors, basket containers holding flat cookie sheets or cutting boards, or muffin pans on the inside of cupboard doors, use the sides of the cabinets like near the sink to hang a small spice rack for cooking or baking, hanger full length of the door on a pantry door or basement door if it is in the kitchen to hold items that would go in a junk drawer, or more canned goods if you do not have a pantry, we put a thin book shelf in our pantry room to give us more storage space and turned an extra bedroom into a large pantry for bulk storage (we have to buy staples for the winter). Hope this can get you started on something that works for you.
