You can mount a curtain rod and then add shower curtain rod rings like the ones used for shower curtains, only these rings have a little clip on the end that you attach fabric to. That way you can swing open the curtains when you need to without them hitting you with other types of curtains you may consider.

You could get one of those bamboo shades and hang it up at the top and lower it as needed.
