I wanted to invite you on a little secret when it comes to toilet paper rolls. They have some many uses they are not common and one of them is using them to make napkin rings.
1st.. I took 2 toilet paper rolls and cut them in half.
2nd.. I got a glue stick and wiped some glue on 3 sections of the roll. You can decide where those 3 places will be. Start wrapping the twine from one of the 3 places that you put glue and start on the top edge. You will have to hold the first row to keep it in place until you have about 3 good rows.
3rd.. Place 2 fingers inside the roll . The thumb will hold the twine in place while while you wrap the twine with the other hand. You are just wrapping the twine around the outside. Try and keep your rows tight but not to much because it can clasp the roll. NOTE: You can wrap the outside twice-this will make it more study.
4th.. Now you will take your twine and go thru the inside of the roll and pull it out on the other end. Use your thumb to hold down the piece of twine when you change the direction in which you are wrapping. Apply some glue in the inside of the roll to the top and bottom. This should keep the twine from becoming undone and to keep the rows in place. Finish the outside wrap with about 10 to 15 rows and go across from the vertical row and put about 10 to 15 rows. Put to the side.
5... Now you can use a piece of fabric. Cut 2 pieces of fabric that will enhance your table arrangements. Now take one piece and fold it over the front and you should end up with a flap of fabric. The flap folds inside the roll.
6...After folding the one piece of fabric covering the roll. Now the second piece of fabric needs to be hot glued to make a nice fold for the outside of the roll. I clapped the fabric to the roll wait it was setting up and hardening. Sit it to the side.
7...Ribbon is the easiest to me. You just cut about 5" of ribbon and hot glue the length of one side of the roll.
8... Place the ribbon center of the roll. Start wrapping the roll where you placed the line of hot glue.
9...Now when you get to the last 1/2" of the ribbon make a fold and hot glue it to the roll. You can add a faux flower and/of any other enhancement to the ribbon or just leave it plain. NOTE: You can tuck the wire edges inside the roll with some hot glue or leave it exposed.
All done with 3 different looks and did not cost a thing. Hope this has given you a new look on toliet paper rolls. Have a good D.I.Ying day!!

My heart totally goes out to the people that was affected (including myself) by all of the storms that hit us last month. Hopefully, something good can come from all this mess. XOXO
