We built a beautiful yard for our pets. We purchased black wire fencing from Menards (it comes in all sizes, we used 3 ft), and put in T posts every 5 or 6 ft. We covered the posts with black sleeves we ordered on line. They came with plain caps, but for the front we bought 2 corner caps that were a little taller and more stately. We attached the sleeves to the black heavy wire fencing. It was the cheapest and nicest we could find. People stop by all the time from our community and ask us how we built it so they could do the same. They are surprised it was so much cheaper and nicer that regular wire dog fences you see all over town.
You can actually buy them at home improvement stores. you can even get a roof for it (tarp material to fit roof line poles). If you don't want to purchase it, you could always look at how they did it and go from there with parts you need. Just remember that some dogs can flat foot jump pretty high. We have two dogs that can flatfoot jump over a four foot fence without touching the fencing to chase critters. Ended up putting up eight feet of fence around my veggie garden because of them.
