absolutely you can put the jade in the house! mine went from being 2 inches tall to having to be planted outdoors a few years later. Now it's 4 feet tall and beautifully round. I split it a number of times and have given it to friends and put it's sister plant next to it at the end of my planter bed by our entrance.
My jade plant has always been inside , in indirect light , and is doing fine.
Definitely. Just put it in sunlight, but not direct light.
Hello Mary; I have had numerous Jade plants, and they all have lived inside!!!
I being a vast number of plants inside when it is too hot or too cold for them outside.
I hope that this is helpful to you!!! Take Care!
Absolutely! Bring the poor thing in asap! :) My sister-in-law had a beauty that she always kept inside (mid-Ontario area). It grew a huge trunk - the size of a shrub - and reached a good 4' to 4-1/2' in height. Even though this is a tough plant that needs less frequent watering than say, a normal houseplant such as a Boston Fern, direct sun will bleach the leaves and could be detrimental to the plant's health.
Gradually introduce the jade to shade. Start by filtering it out with a umbrella or lightly hung material.Leave like that for a few days. Then bring it inside and place it in bright indirect light. Sudden change in location will set the plant back even more
Good luck ! (:
