An integral garage works for me. Low light and not freezing temp. They know when to send up shoots. Then put them in sunny spot. And groom. Been doing this with the same plants for years! Also in spring I buy silk geraniums in the same color and push them in the hanging basket along with the fresh ones. No one knows but me and something is always blooming!
Wow! What a great idea. I'm off to Micheal's for some silk geraniums.
You can also bring them in a pot and keep by the sunny window. They will flower all winter long. In June plant them out side. You can also cut the long stems and plant the stems out sid. They will grow beautifull. I have mine for years
Just before the first frost, cut WAY back, water and put in the garage - preferably in front of a window. Water periodically throughout the winter, but not too much.
.thank you Barbara and Usha
i will try my garage for most of them and window for some. Do I water them while in garage?
