This looks pretty good. I would plan on a more rustic look and try to "age" it before I stained it though since it really is not hardwood. Extra layers of a good polyurethane would be important in the final steps too. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wmRYKrfQjuk
I have wood-look vinyl planks on my kitchen floor. Everyone thinks it is real wood and it's so easy to clean.
Watch Craigslist for ads, try using vinyl plank flooring with a wood pattern....some of them are hard to tell the difference, go to a discount flooring store (you get what you pay for), watch local sales.
Please don't get cheap laminate flooring ... get Manufactured Wood Flooring. you can sand it, and It looks and feels like real hardwood for half the cost.
Use laminate wood throughout most of the house. It's already stained and sealed, is cheaper than real hardwood, and can last a lifetime if you clean up spills quickly, dust mop, and use a laminate cleaner when needed. Best wishes 😇
Engineered wood floors are the cheap version of hardwoods. Lumber Liquidtors has great sales. The best of engineered is Bella Wood.
