Could you elaborate a bit and maybe a picture?
What a cool idea!!! Are you wanting to lengthen the wall or increase its height? I am thinking both will have the same basic needs. Structure to attach the metal to and edge protection so people don't get cut.
What if you sandwiched the metal sheets in a frame of 2x4(or 6)
Then if extending the wall, you could sink posts and attach your framed panels to the posts a little off the ground.
If increasing height, I think you can use masonry anchors to anchor U brackets for your posts and hang your panels to those. I would double check that the masonry anchors are the right way to go.
