I bought this basket years ago from Target. I decided it had gotten dated and boring the time had come for a quick update. Spray paint to the rescue!! Updating this as I found matching basket and painted it as well.
Here is the before photo of the basket. See? Just plain and boring.
I started out painting the main area of the basket with Seaside spray paint. I love Rustoleum spray paint!
Next I cut up a paper bag and used painters tape to tape off the main areas of the basket. I decided two tone was the way to go. I grabbed some Granite spray paint and added my accent color to the top, bottom, and corner sections of the basket.
After the paint dried, I took off the paper...here is the new updated basket!
This just shows the corner accent color. ❤️ Looking much more vibrant!
I painted second basket colors in reverse. 😊 New life for these beauties. I love a simple update, now I have a set of baskets with a nice color pop! Hope you like it :)

Looks great and you used the Rustoleum Seaside color that I love. It's the same color as the owl hook I painted for my bathroom which means hmmmm I might need to paint some baskets too!

Lynnette Soltwedel on Sep 06, 2017I also love the Rustoleum Lagoon. I have a thing for paints in the blue family. 😉
