Using the back of a picture frame, I created a pretty piece of artwork for my night table!
I remembered that I had the back to a photo frame left over from a different project so I decided to use it as the canvas for some artwork! I was super excited about this idea because the artwork will be able to stand on it's own! Glad I didn't throw it away!
1. I gathered the materials I would need: acrylic paints, paintbrushes, and a cup of water to clean the brushes. I pulled out my acrylic paints and got started.
2. I wanted to match the colors of my bedroom decor so I decided to use blues, greens and pop of orange and pink. I covered the entire background with a navy color.
Here it is all covered and ready for some painterly florals!
Then I began creating a floral design by using the other colors.
I started with blue and green as the greenery and then added some orange and pink for the flowers.
Getting there...
And here it is! The floral design is finished!
I now have a new decorative art piece on my night table, I love it!
Enjoyed the project?
