I've recently 'gone metallic' (specifically copper, Rust-oleum Metallic Vintage Copper) and sprayed plastic containers and re-purposed coffee cans so my kitchen coffee center looks coordinated. Other small plastic containers got painted Valspar Metallic Gold and now serve beautifully at my computer desk. I love being able to exercise my artistic urge and customize my home decor with so practical an endeavor as recycled containers and spray paint. Keep your eyes open--potential containers are everywhere!
