Liners to Protect Leather Chair from Hair Chemicals- opinions?

Due to the many medications I must take these same meds produce harmful chemicals that leech out of my hair and discolor and fades the leather under me head. These leather chairs are very high quality and very expensive. The manufacturer has documented this issue many times and recommended using a high quality small towel or cloth material over the top of the chair. We chose small hand matching hand towels. While this does work great the problem is how to keep the towel in place. I tried light weight Velcro with no luck. These light weight Velcro's did not stick to the towels nor leather. It is very annoying having to constantly reposition the covers. Our only requirement is the fastening method can not harm the leather.
Your opinions and recommendations will be greatly appreciated.

I would get 3 long pieces of cotton tape (or you could use strong ribbon like grograin), then I would sew (or safety pin) to your towel or a microbead pillow on one corner, and then position it where you want it on the chair, and then take a tape down the backside of your chair, and staple (or use upholstery tack) it in place underneath, now do the other one. Now take the 3rd piece and sew or pin on back of towel/pillow in the middle, and tie the 2 ends around the chair horizontally in back.

I would use the Disposable Bibs for invalid feeding, available from Chemists. (They are large apaper
with Plastic backing.
Go to Walmart and in the fabric dept they sell plastic fabric that you can use as a table cloth. Measure the back of your chair and make a large pillow case to go over the back. This fabric is really easy to clean and should keep your leather chair from getting ruined.
