Warm soapy water and a toothbrush

  • Try a soft toothbrush with a dab of tooth paste. Be sure your tooth brush is damp and brush very gently, then rinse with water. Dry with soft lint free towel.

Don't forget watch bands & straps. The gunk that gathers in the joints or in a flexible band is awful. Again a toothbrush & warm water to get into little crevasses is best.

Depends on what type of jewelry you are cleaning. I buy a lot of old jewelry for the beads, at garage sales, salvage stores and auctions. The beaded items I put into a mesh bag and run through the dish washer. For items with stones use very little water and a gentle touch and do it over a towel so if you dislodge any stones you can find them . Some items are stable and some not so use your best judgement.
