A soft toothbrush with a little toothpaste
I use white (not gel) toothpaste and a damp toothbrush to clean all the jewelry I sell on Ebay
Do not dip it in any liquid. Use rubbing alcohol with a Q tip and tooth picks. Wipe the jewelery with a medium wet Q tip (not dripping wet). Use the cotton off a Q tip on a tooth pick to clean the crevasses in the back. Ground in dirt you can use the tip of the tooth pick, but don't use any metal picks. Do not force the toothpick, just dig it out gently. The alcohol cleans and dries immediately to keep from fogging the jewelry. The wood of the toothpick prevents scratches as you clean in the hard to reach places. Hope this helps. This is how I clean the jewelry my Grandma gave me and it looks great.
