Where are you trying to save space? might help us be more specific in our advice.
My two cents: Throughout the year I set aside small soaps, shampoos, toothpaste tubes, extra tooth brushes, mini sewing kits, slipper socks, etc and store them in my carry-on suitcase in a sealed plastic bag. I also keep my airplane pillow, extra ear phones and suitcase locks and luggage tags inside. When its time to go, everything is together. Good luck!
