How to Build a Cedar Deck Railing with Glass | Family Handyman

Hi Brenda! Please check if there are building codes for deck railings in your neck of the woods. Might save time and effort down the road, trust me, I found out. Good luck!
Pickets aren't very long and are the cheapest grade of cedar,,,, I would think that would wind up very uneven over time as the wood dries and maybe as the nails are released, not to mention the splinter factor. It also might not meet your city code for deck railings. Bite the bullet, and get the railing material.
