In the summertime, I do a lot of crafting in my garage with the door open. I use sticky fly strips. It's kinda gross, but it keeps the flys from annoying me.
you can try several things.....hanging sticky tape, glue board baited with a small piece raw meat or plastic bag filled with water and hung in the problematic area then there is the empty catsup bottle & rotting meat - not very much, in water hopefully the the flies go in and don't come out.
there are screens made to fit garage doors, they close with magnets. big box lumber stores usually carry them.
I agree with the fly strips, it will catch any flying critter that lands on it. There are also those battery operated zappers that look like tennis racket that really work. Swat, zap and dead. Works for mosquitoes too!
Oh make yourself some of those recycled soda bottle traps..... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gffyOb62lVo
or get some of those old fashioned round fly paper sticky tapes you hang from a tack.
A fly swatter.
