I have heard of people blotting the stain with a small about of dish soap. Also, Carbona Stain Devils makes specific cleaners for certain problems. Perhaps you can try this>

use lemon juice and scrub with a white terry cloth piece of material .Try to keep the rust in the small spot it is in ....try not to spread it when you scrub. Keep at it and depending on how long the rust has been there you will just have to do it again and again till you remove it to your satisfaction.
Then rinse with clear water .
there are rust removers you can buy but they are very harsh chemicals. They definitely remove rust and are quite useful on white fabric. They are so strong they quickly etch the surface of bathroom fixtures. Use cautiously.
