You need to contact Hometalk, go to the bottom of the page, and click on Contact Us
You sound very upset Robin, what tutorial did you use? There could be several with different ways of doing the same thing. Some might not work for your projects process.
Hi Robin, registering with the Hometalk website and the email process keeps out people who just came to post ads. It's not 100% because eventually they do place ads, but once one of us hometalkers reports them-they are removed. The staff who does works hard to do it every day. If it's not the Hometalk site, you can always X out or close a window asking for your info. Usually that's for a newsletter.
Now, about your transfer not working. I've had that happen once in a while too. Anything liquid or gel like that is part of any processing has to be done perfectly or pretty close. Sometimes it's something as simple as temperature, the humidity or other things beyond our control. I tried to put a photo on a piece of wood to give as a gift. Thankfully, I decided to try it on scraps with an extra photo. Unfortunately, I never could get it to work. I also did a small white/grey granite table that I tried to seal with Parks, which was highly recommended. The first coat left indentations - after thinking about everything I did, I decided that I had pulled too much off the edge and not left enough on that corner. So I read up on it and tried again. This time part of it was fine, but another part was sticky. I suspect I didn't stir it enough because I used a pretty small stick. (This is just my best guess, it was also a little bit cool and humid during part of the dry time - so maybe that was it) I haven't decided what to do about it yet.
My point in telling you all of this is that sometimes with crafts things happen. Some people will show the mistakes they made and give you another option, or sometimes, they'll tell us they started over and did something different. I'm sorry your project didn't turn out. I can feel for you.
Hi, would you be able to send a link to the tutorial you are referring to?
