Go to the hardware store or Homedepot or Lowe's to the plumbing dept. Tell them you need the chain with the flapper. There are several kinds, make sure you get the right one that's for your toilet. Look at the name on your toilet, and ask for help. Good Luck!

It is $5 or less to replace the whole mechanism. Much better to just replace it and have fewer future problems.
Toilet handle replacing instructions. You may consider replacing the flapper also.

Congratulations, you are about to rebuild a toilet. It is an easy task, just be sure to put the lid some place very safe so it doesn't get broken while it is off the tank. So far as I know there are no go-to places to get a new lid. Be gentle when you are shutting off the supply line, a break there means real plumbing.
You can purchase a kit that will give you new chain, flapper and handle. Just make sure you get the right size for your toilet. It's not really hard to fix the toilet. Good luck.
