How do you paint over laminate cabinets and paneling?
We have a mobile home with paneling and laminate cabinets...do not want to replace, just paint.

It is. You do want to sand it enough to give it some "tooth" to grab onto and definitely put on several coats of a high quality sealant, preferably a food safe one

You might want to try a product called "Liquid Sandpaper." It brushes on the surface to be painted, let it dry as per the directions, and paint over it. Good luck--
