He's a man for all seasons! Not just the winter time!
Flakes the Snowman becomes Flakes the 'tater Grower becomes Flakes the Friendly Ghost!
All the products you need to complete this project are at the materials section below the post.
Start with one Flakes the Snowman found here:
http://www.hometalk.com/diy/craft/seasonal-decor/flakes-the-snowman-25371502
Over the spring/summer turn him into Flakes the 'tater Grower.

Now it's time for Halloween! Flakes wants to join in the fun and I'm going to help him!
I had an old king sized white flat sheet. Drape it roughly over Flakes the Snowman and determine where your design should go. Mark that area. No need to be TOO precise - this is a homemade costume you know! I carboned my design onto the sheet (transfer/carbon paper & a pencil).
I then used Rustoleum gloss back protective enamel (any oil based paint should be fine - I had the can on hand) to paint his face. I did put an old t-shirt underneath of the design area to absorb any paint that went thru the sheet. I then let the paint dry overnight.
Carefully drape his costume overtop of Flakes. Proceed to be "oohed" and "awed" at. Prepare for the cuteness.
You can "weigh down" the corners of the sheet with a brick on each corner (if you must) and I plan on trying to get some pictures of him at night. I am putting solar lights underneath the sheet so he "glows" like a ghost!
He is definitely a "Man for All Seasons".

I added the spooky lights! I have 2 mason jar solar lights that "hang", 1 hanging on each "arm/finger". 2 lights are resting on the 2nd tire from the bottom.
We want to help you DIY, so some of the materials in this post are linked to sellers. Just so you know, Hometalk may collect a small share of sales from the links on this page.
Showing off the hanging solar mason jar lights. Now I'm thinking of getting him a pumpkin' to hold all his candy.
Enjoyed the project?

I love it. Isn't it amazing how unrelated items can be made into something so cool that when put together they make an object which almost has a personality. Well done you for your creativity.⛄
