boil for2-3 min. Rinse in cold water. Slip off skins. Dice or leave whole. Put in a ziploc bag. Seal .Put in freezer. Any freezer bag should do. Then when I need some for a recipe i have them ready. Better than canned at the store with all the sodium, and perservatives.

Hi Kathy, I freeze as many of my tomatoes as I can for use over winter. Cut an X on the bottom and put in very hot water (not boiling but just under). Wait a minute then drop them in ice water. After they are cooled, take out and pull skin off. I cut mine open and remove seeds. Then put in dated freezer bags. It's a bit of work, but worth it. Good luck.

Buy different hardware. There some really nice one. I have been looking to do the same and found ones that would cover the area.

Def make sure that they're completely sealed in the container you choose to use to avoid damaging them in the process- best of luck :)
