Want to add a punch of drama to a room? Here are some ideas for the age old technique of stenciling that can give your home an instant and cost effective update. So, what are the trends for wall treatments... in 2011? Here are some hints:

• Dramatic and attention grabbing color, texture or size and placement of patterns

• Incorporation of soft rather than harsh metallics for instant glamour

• Crisp, clean and sleek first impressions with a balance of simplicity versus pattern

Size matters. The scale of a pattern and the space inbetween influences the drama.

These are awesome. I'm at a lost in my Master bath and bedroom. I want to do something creative but right now, its just bland paint on top of paint. Where do I find the stencils and instructions. Just beautiful!

Regenia, Most of the time, I am looking for a specific design or size so I cut my own. But, you can do a google search for stencils and a lot of manufacturers will come up. Some of the sites even have on-line videos available for how-to's. The most common mistake that people make is using too much paint. That will create "bleed under" and you won't get a crisp edge. Have fun!
