Since the floor is staying, you could put Bead Board on the bottom of the wall (there is even a nice wall paper that looks just like the real bead board). To go with the green floor you could paint the upper part of the wall a sage or mint green.
Perhaps a frame around the mirror would be nice, not anything too big, just something that would go with the lights you put in and not just a "plain" mirror. It needs something. I definitely would not leave the walls the same color on both the lower and upper halves, perhaps a paler green in the same family as the floor for the bottom and something more of a neutral with a touch of the green for the top half.
sherwin Williams has a color called Comfort Gray. It is a beautiful gray green. It's calming and gorgeous. An oval mirror would look nice too.
What about a whole new wall cabinet/deeper shelving unit above the toilet? Where the cabinet is now, it looks nice in line with the toilet, so start the shelves there and go all the way to the wall. Make the shelves as deep at the toilet tank. Give them sliding doors, or leave open, since you don't want to hit your head on an open door. In the corner between the mirror and the shelving, add half circle shelves for those items that collect on the sink top. Oh, and frame the mirror and either stain it the same color as the sink unit, or the color you choose for the lower wall. Paint the shelves the same as the upper wall color, so you keep the lightness in there. [I would want to hide the brush and plunger, but can't quite figure out how to describe how to add to that....like a 'leg' coming down from the shelf unit and put a door on that area to hide them]
When you extend the shower are you putting in skidding glass door or using a shower curtain? I actually like the sink cabinet and the Mediterranean faucet is fine to keep. The advice about bead board on the lower half of the wall would look nice, it will pull everything together. Good luck
It will be shower curtain
