It all depends on the heat. There are a lot of veggies that like cool weather, like lettuces and peas, radishes and many others. Research cool weather vegetables for your zone and you should be able to pick and choose what you want in your garden.
Peas and spinach grow well
If you are in ẞSW Michigan, there is still time to grow green beans, peas, lettuces, radishes, some crucifers. You can plant carrots, beets, rutabagas, turnips and fingerling-type potatoes as they can be pulled through early frosts. Check an almanac or local garden planner for plants to grow in your zone!
