What is the best way to deal with Russian Sage ?

My Russian sage wants to lay down like it is weak. Should I use fencing to help it stand up, or just leave it on the ground ?

I love Russian sage and so do the bees. Do you cut it back in the fall? I don't have that problem with mine and am interested to see if anyone has an answer for you and if that would make a difference. These plants are pretty infestation free because the usual culprits don't like the smell but you might have something happening with the root or at ground level. Good luck.
