Is there a sure-fire way to get rid of Creeping Charley?
Peppermint oil. Now you know why monthly subscriptions to pest services are so popular. They all use chemicals, and that is not my thing since I have a bunch of pets, so I have a broom on my porch to brush them off when I sit out there.
You first attack the spiders. Spiders detest the smell of mint. So spray some peppermint every so often around area and no more webs and no spiders to build more.
Make this spray...1 gallon water, 1/4 cup lemongrass oil. Mix well, spray on your porch surfaces, around doors, windows, siding, etc. It will help keep spiders away. Use 2-3 times per year.
Put pots of mint on your porch
Kill the spiders and it plug every possible crack, hold of corner where an eight legged can hide.
