I want to remove stains from a marble table!
Anyone have an idea for cleaning heat and liquid stains from a marble table top?
The material looks like microsuede. I use a mixture of warm water and oxyclean, and a toothbrush to scrub then blot off the excess water as much as possible. A spot cleaner machine is also handy to have around for things like this. Just make sure they are completely dry before sitting on them, if there is still moisture in the padding it could cause some of the residual grime to absorb in the material again, then you would need to redo it

If Dianacirce70's method (which is excellent advice), I would also try wiping down with rubbing alcohol on a terrycloth towel. If all else fails, these chair seats are easy to remove and recover with new fabric.
If you can't get the stains out, you can breathe new life into them by painting the upholstery with chalk paint. Just google for directions.
Agreed on the washing it advice. I'd use either a carpet cleaning machine with hose attachment for upholstery, or wash with wet washcloth in a pinch. I've done it before, so here are two things I learned that will hopefully spare you frustration:
1. Use 1/3 or less of detergent in your soapy solution to avoid needing to rinse it again later (if you use too much, and don't rinse, it dries crunchy)
2. Wet the ENTIRE surface of your cushion when cleaning; if you just wash spots they'll dry into cleaner spots but still be visible.
Good luck!!!
