I need ideas for making frames go around my rose bushes. I have netting, but draping it isnt working. I thought a teepee or box type frame, but not sure to how to make this.

How about using tomato cages under that netting? I have also heard that deer do not like a bar (or net bagged shavings) of soap, especially Irish Spring.

I recommend using shredded Irish Spring bar soap around your plants. You can shred them on a box grater or even in a food processor. Deer and other animals hate the smell and taste. And, here's the best part, it will not hurt your plants at all. This method is effective and inexpensive.

If there's a zoo in or near you, ask for some scat from a carnivore. They'll probably be glad to give it to you. Put it around your roses and the deer won't get near them.

Why not get a cube, that is usually for tomatoes, and put this over the bush? I know this isn't usually done, but this may help you. Also use moth balls, and hot pepper, for this will not harm the bush, but the deer will NOT bother you again, believe me. Also, Mary Golds always work good, for they HATE the SMELL of them., and you can use the blossoms from year to year too. J.
