So... you are wanting to make a swimming pool using bricks for the sides. I'm guessing sand under the bottom. Talk with those who work with pools, and those who install them. Talk to a real estate agent as well.....it may effect your property values, and I'm sure insurance will also go up.
From stories that I have heard of neighbours trying to build a swimming pool on the cheap by diy when they have absolutely no experience, and by repurposing, or recycling materials instead of using the specific intended, I would say unless you want a huge bungle up mess in your yard, don't do it.
It would be incomparably less expensive and a faaaaaaaarrrrrr less work to buy a pass to your nearest Recreation Centre.
