DIY Washi Tape Air Plant Holders

I personally think air plants are pretty cool. The fact that these plants can live without water and soil is awesome. It takes the whole house plant idea to another level. With these washi tape air plant holders, you can have your own display for a fraction of the store bought price, while customizing them to your own liking http://www.brightboldbeautiful.com/2014/02/24/washi-tape-air-plant-holder/
What you need: Washi tape Soft copper wire Fishing line Needle Nose Pliers Wire Cutters Air plants
Cut your copper wire and form into a circular shape (if making the circle holder). Using the needle nose pliers, bend the ends of your wires into a hook shape in order to hook the ends together. Clamp down with your pliers to keep the hold tight. Repeat for two more circles.
Next you want to take your copper circles and place them together so they are equally spaced in a three dimensional shape. Wrap your washi tape around where they are all connected to keep them in place.
Once you feel your circles are held together well enough you can begin to wrap the copper wire with your tape. Wrap the tape around the wire to cover it entirely. By keeping your tape on a diagonal, you can wrap more smoothly. Once your copper shape is covered to your liking, take your fishing line and tie a knot at the top for hanging.
