My guess would be that a) either the load is out of balance and needs to be redistributed, or b) the legs on the bottom corners of the washer need adjusting. Push down all around the top outer edge of the washer to determine if it is unlevel and then adjust the appropriate leg by turning the bottom part clockwise or counterclockwise. Hope this helps.
1. stop it and rearrange cloths more evenly, or 2. place shims under the floor pads that are not level. It's a pretty easy fix. I've even got a matchbook under one of mine !!!!
Usually it's older washers that did that when the clothes inside were out of balance. Most newer washers are able to rebalance the load to stop the problem. I remember having one years ago that did the same thing. I was constantly opening the top to move the clothes around to rebalance. Then I got smart and tried to balance the clothes when I put them in the washer. That did help. However, if yours is a fairly new washer they might be a part that's broken. If you have your manual that came with the washer, you might find an answer there or call a repairperson.
It's either not level or you have to open lid (if possible) and reposition the contents..
There are anti-vibration pads sold for office equipment. Maybe you could cut one up and place under the legs of your washer.
Level it using the feet. Newer washers often have a lift-and-drop foot rather than the older twist-by-hand style, making it possible to level the back without pulling the washer out, which makes leveling harder. Also, if your washer doesn't have automatic load balancing, do this by opening the lid and redistribute the items inside the washer.
I dont spin out on highest speed. I set it lower. No shaking. My previous front loaders brought the house down.
The feet need to be adjusted so that they are all on the floor firmly at the same time, I think. As others have noted, you may have to turn them with a wrench or use the either method on newer washers described by Suellen.
