How unfortunate! You might want to look into this first. Many of us have Pinterest accounts, and this has never happened to me. There is a support tab on the middle right, if you want to address this problem.

People save Hometalk projects to pinterest every day. If the original project came from Hometalk, that's where pinterest will send you. I have accounts at both places but am rarely directed to hometalk unless that's where the project originated. I personally don't think deactivating your hometalk account will make a difference. At pinterest every pin will tell you the name of the website. It will say "Article from" or "Saved from". Check where the pin came from and don't choose any that say from hometalk if you don't want to come here.
Of course, many projects do originate at a blog, but the crafter/artist/carpenter/etc. also posts an original to hometalk. It appears that the hometalk version got a higher ranking or more people from hometalk saved the hometalk post than the blog post.
Sorry you feel that you have to go. I personally love it here and wouldn't want to leave any time soon.
Good luck!
