We don't have any idea where you live so we can't suggest anyone. Have you checked contractors in your area?
Search the Internet for contractors in your area. When you find one check the BBB: Better Business Bureau for complaints. You can also check a hardware or big box store in you area for names. It is good to get 3 quotes.
I would avoid a "Jack of all Trades". I had one do a bathroom years ago, and we had problems. This time around, I had a plumbing store/supply company come out and give me an estimate. 2 master plumbers and a carpenter that works for them, stripped our bathroom down to the studs, and redid everything for a decent price. We had a good quality fibreglass shower with textured doors (we picked the effect we wanted), and a solid wood cabinet with a granite top installed for less than a big box store was charging for a plastic generic shower, and a pressed board plastic-topped vanity. Good luck!
Check your states Contractors License Board too, also a wealth of information for consumers on the site as well. We did this in my parents house over 50 years ago, worked out great!
Try HOME ADVISOR, for your contractor, one who does remodeling for bathroom. Make sure you get a contract, how many days to complete. (Make sure their consecutive days in a row, if not it can become a 2, week project.). Only give a third for deposit, and even though he's from home advisor, I would still check with the BBB, to see what his standing is. It should be A+. Good Luck!
