Remove as much of the hair as possible by hand. Then soak in water and dish soap. Use a scrub brush ( a finger nail brush works best), and scrub the brush to remove the hair product buildup. Then rinse.

I pull out the hair ,then put in boiling water with some dish soap. Good as new.

  • What type do you have? I use natural boar bristle in a wood handle. If metal or plastic you can just give a quick soak in hydrogen peroxide or rubbing alcohol. Then wash with dawn dish soap and let air dry.

Thank you all for your replies. I saw this tip somewhere but couldn't remember the solution to soak in. I will try them all. I have a round brush that I have to use a pick of some kind to get hair out.

All good suggestions, If my brush cannot handle boiling water, I use as hot as I can, add rubbing alcohol, and sometimes vinegar and a few drops of essential oils. Tea Tree kills fungus and bacteria.
