Gladiolas do great in your area, we had a back yard garden full of many varieties. Roses do well if they have lots of sun during the day like on the south or west side of the house. I prefer mini roses as they grow bouquets of blooms rather than single. Daffodils, iris, and tulips are also great perennials for your area.
