I strongly urge you to spread some shredded Irish Spring bar soap around your Arborvitae. You can shred them on a box grater or even a food processor. Deer and other animals hate the smell and taste of the soap. And, here's the good part, it will not hurt your bushes at all. This is an effective and inexpensive method. Best of luck to you.
