Installing zinc strip

I purchased a 3"x50' zinc strip to control moss or green algae growth on my asphault shingles, but only needed on north side of house ,can I install this by myself or do I need 2 people? I plan on nailing it with water tight sealed nails under top row of roof shingles (top row) just not sure if the 3"x 50' will be easy to nail & unroll or if I need 1. To hold it & 1 to nail it?

Or can I simply cut the 3" wide roll w/tin snips into 3-4 Foot lengths & just install by myself without the worry of the 50' roll springing wild like a slinky ? It's probably not crucial that it be 1 continuos piece as long as the rain hits it & allows water to run down the roof preven moss growth & killing off the light tinge of green Im beginning to see, cause it gets no sunlight on the north side & thats the side prone to moss growth

You can gradually unroll it , nail it at one end and slide it under he shingles as you go along. If cutting it in strips is easier you can do that. Just make sure to overlap about 1/4" over each edge.
