Mr. Clean Magic eraser is great for hard to remove marks. There are also DIY tutorials to make them on Hometalk. You do have to wipe off with mild soap and water as I've found it leaves a matte residue. Good luck.
Mr. Clean Magic Eraser works wonders.
Mr. Clean Magic erasers are great on walls to remove marks like crayon, marker, etc. Not sure about sharpie, but it may remove that too. Then, once you have all the marks removed you can rub the walls down with a non abrasive multi purpose cleaner and a sponge. Some people say to vacuum the walls first with a vacuum attachment to remove dust and surface dirt, but I haven't ever done that. I guess it depends on how dirty the walls are.
Magic eraser .... love it
the white sponges work well just dip in water and lightly scrub...like magic!
Try 1c. ammonia,1/2c. vinegar, 1/4c. baking soda in a,couple of gallons of warm water. Use a cotton cloth to wash with. No rinsing necessary.
