To save space, you could set up bookshelves to store your fabric......arrange it by type or color, etc. Use a wall mounted ironing board that is easy to fold out of the way when you are not using it. For your cutting table, consider using two filing cabinets with a board on top.....that way, you can use the filing cabinets to store patterns, etc.
I hung a peg board on the wall for my thread, scissors etc.
