Put them in a large glass or other deep container of water. If they float, pitch them.
I shake my eggs. If I feel movement they get tossed.

Depends where you live and where you got the eggs from. We keep chickens and live in a temperate climate . About a month to six weeks for us. Eggs in stores can be two weeks old by the time you get them.There is the float test. Put the egg in a bowl of water. Fresh eggs lie on the bottom. If they tilt upwards they are older but useable. If they float throw them away
