How do I turn a cabinet into a farmhouse sink?

I can't find any cabinets that fit my new farmhouse sink. Do all farmhouse sinks have custom cabinets? I need to save money and have a low budget for the cabinet. I would like storage underneath the cabinet and the sink is 30" wide 19"front to back and 9"" deep

    How big is your sink?

Ophs sorry didn't see your sink measurements. Is this to sit in between other cabinets? if so, what is there height and depth? how large is the opening width? what wood, what style door? What size cabinet does the sink manufacturer recommend? who is the sink manufacturer? what is the weight of the sink?

Here is a standard 30" unfinished cabinet from Home Depot.... http://www.homedepot.com/p/Assembled-30x34-5x24-in-Base-Kitchen-Cabinet-in-Unfinished-Oak-B30OHD/202020620

I think it would be worth a trip to Home Depot with your measurements. The comments by people who've brought this cabinet say it can hold a couple hundred pounds, but if your sink is cast iron... they can be 300 lbs.

There are lot videos on YouTube on how to install, especially by manufacturer. And your manufacturer's website would probably have either a video or instructions how to install on it. Generally some sinks require 4 upright supports screwed into your cabinet, some require 3 horizonal supports screwed in, and the heaviest require supports directly underneath the sink to hold it up, sometimes 2 metal bars. The newer cabinets with a front drawer or drawer front usually can be removed for the sink apron to fit in but measure that depth.

If you want something more country, I would find a local architectural recycler. They pull out everything from buildings including old wood cabinets that you can adapt and some of them are beautifully milk painted that holds up for decades. Habitat for Humanity Restore also has used wood cabinets.

Farmhouse sinks usually stick out farther in from than traditional cabinets allow. And your sink seems shallow to me. Go online in your area to find something like Cabinets To Go, Cabinet Resales, Builders Supply. You may find a farmhouse cabinet that can be restained to match your cabinets. If any cabinet would be allowed to be different from the others, it would be the sink cabinet. I hope you find what you need. 😇
