Is there an app that lets you take a picture of a room and change colors of the walls or trim to help you choose the best color?

Project Color by Home Depot works pretty well but it is only as good as your photo. If you get good lighting for the pic you take you'll better results. It will also match a paint color to an object you choose--like a pillow.
Try Lowe's or Sherwin Williams
Professional decorators on a site I used to belong to, recommended getting sample sizes of paint and painting a 4' square of colors you choose on the walls to see which one you like.
Try the Sherman Williams web site. They used to have a program that let you try out the colors in the room.
