I have upholstered headboards and made lots of Xmas stockings. Also seen mittens at craft fairs made out of shrunken sweaters and lined with same. You can make neck and shoulder packs for aching muscles, I once taught a quilting class and my students made bags in the quilting Log cabin pattern. Table skirts, throw pillows, if you love to sew there are innumerable projects.
