The sink would need to be reglazed or you could paint it. Home Depot, Lowes, Amazon, etc sell kits so you can DIY.
Try baking soda!
My vote is for reglazing. Not as expensive as one thinks, will look like brand new, and if properly cared for, will be beautiful for many years to come.
Reglazing is a great idea, and then it will last a while
