Hello Sherry, We moved in to our house a year ago. We hated the tile in the bathroom. Our budget was small. We installed peel and stick tile right over the old tile. It looks so much better and, so far, no issues or problems.
Is it on your counter or on your floor?
Hi Sherry, Here's a neat video how to! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tw2TXNgOrxM
Good luck!
Peel and Stick Tiles are especially good in the bathrooms because of the smaller size and curves to fit. Until you can afford to redo the kitchen floor, I would just paint it with an easy to roll latex paint. You can get stylish and paint stripes or checks. Or you can go artistic and splatter one or more colors on top of the base color. Put one or two coats of waterproof poly on top of the paint so it will last until you are ready, and so you can mop the floor. Best wishes 😇
We did ours with wood laminate.
I've used peel and stick tile over the ceramic tile in our foyer. We carefully placed each peel and stick tile directly over a ceramic tile. Then I chose a coordinating paint colour and simply painted the grout. Looks great and has held up perfectly for a year.
