Put them in a pot that you don't care about. Put that pot in another pot to which you have placed about 4 inches of water. Bring to a boil, and the simmer until the wax melts. Stir the wax every now and again. I keep an old wooden spoon for this purpose. If the wax gets to about 185 degrees, it is sufficiently melted. Cool it to about 165 degrees before adding essential oil and/or dye. Then you can pour it into containers that you have pre-prepared with wicks.
