Location? If you have to shovel snow or have lots of leaves to rake concrete is probably your best bet. Concrete generally wins due to less maintenance (blocks weeds, easier to clean off) though gravel does have its place - though mostly due to initial cost
If you can afford concrete....I say go for it! I have asphalt and it cracks all the time.
It also depends where you live. Some states tax concrete driveways but not blacktop.
